The finished dish about to be served

This was yesterday’s experiment. Turned out great.

Ingredients

350g of rump steak trimmed and minced (or lean beef mince)
350g of sausage meat,
Italian mixed herbs 2 heaped teaspoons.
A big handful of bread crumbs
2 eggs
Salt and pepper to taste.

Method

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until well combined. Form into meatballs should make 8 to 10 meatballs.

The meatballs

Fry off the meatballs until golden on multiple sides and place in dish. Fry off a mix of chopped Mediterranean veg of your choice, (Mushrooms, onion, peppers, cherry tomatoes, etc) put a tin of tomatoes in a dish, add the browned meatballs, and veg, sprinkle created cheddar on top and bake in a preheated oven at 180 deg C fan for about 10 to 20 mins until golden on top and the cheese has melted.
